I have had this couch for over 15 years.  It is super large and super comfortable!  At one time it was all chenille in a beige color.  The cushions and pillows began to wear out, and I found myself unable to part with it.  I have recovered it more than once, but this project was my favorite (so far).  

I removed the fabric carefully from the original cushions and used that as my template to make new covers. 

The large pillows that back the couch were replaced with large pillow forms and covered.

The throw pillows were the FUN project!  I used old throw pillows and recovered them with fabric from my my fabric stash.  The two large throw pillows are OLD king size bed pillows. 

Then I pulled out the paint and stencils and created the artwork.  I bought the stencil pack at Walmart on clearance and used acrylic paint that I had on hand ( and yes, the throw pillows are washable and the paint has not come off ).

Take a close look. This room is full of upcycled décor!
