Wicker is a stylish choice for updating your outdoor seating for a beach house or a beach themed home patio.

Spring is coming, if not already here, and it’s time to refresh your outdoor living space, so we’re reposting our wicker refresh to inspire our readers.
I have had wicker patio furniture for years. A few pieces finally rotted and were not safe. This was during the pandemic, so purchasing new furniture wasn’t an option. I had some very nice wicker pieces in my primary bedroom and decided to move them outside to replace what was missing. My wicker was brown to dark brown, and I decided to paint it white.

I used regular white spray paint and recovered the cushions.
It wasn’t long before the white paint began to chip away from the rain and windy weather. I have a combination of plastic outdoor wicker and “real” wood wicker.

I recovered the cushions again using the original cushion stuffing and pillows. I repainted the furniture, but this time I used a project paint sprayer for better coverage, and I used an outdoor house paint that I thinned with water. I even added a little tint with some acrylic project paint in different blues.

What a difference!
