Make your own Personalized Rain Boots and Save Money
It’s the rainy season here in Texas, so it’s time to pull out the rain boots. In the last decade or so, rubber boots have become something of a fashion statement. As much as many of us wear them, it make sense that they would become a part of our fashionable wardrobe. If you get sticker shock when you shop for cute and colorful wellies, then I have a solution for you!

I recently purchased some cheap, basic black rubber boots from Walmart. I keep them at my back door for walking to the bird feeders in the backyard; especially after a rainy day. But I’m just like you. I want cute footwear, so I decided I would add a little flowery flare to dress them up.
I had some cute leftover fabric from another project, so I cut out the flowers that were part of the fabric design. Using mod podge as a glue, I spread it onto the boot and positioned the flowers.

Then I went over all the flowers with Mod Podge to secure them. I used at least two coats, letting the previous coat dry before applying the next.

The final look is super cute and perfect for rainy day fashion.
This is a great time to thank our viewers and supporters in Ireland. We see you and we love you! I would love to see your rain boot ideas in the comments, as well as everyone else that continues to support our little blog.
